Description

The Flipper Zero is a multi-tool for pentesters, geeks, and hobbyists that reads, emulates, and analyzes various wireless protocols like RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, and Sub-GHz radio; it can also act as a TV remote (IR), USB keyboard (BadUSB), or hardware debugger, allowing exploration of smart devices, access control, and network security in a pocket-sized device.

Key Capabilities

RFID & NFC: Read, clone, and emulate low-frequency (125kHz) and high-frequency (NFC) cards, like key fobs, access cards, and transit passes.

Sub-GHz Radio: Communicate with garage doors, car key fobs, and IoT devices using 300-928 MHz frequencies.

Infrared (IR): Learn and send signals to control TVs, air conditioners, and other IR-based remotes.

BadUSB: Emulate USB Human Interface Devices (HID) to run scripts or act as a keyboard for penetration testing.

Bluetooth & Wi-Fi: Analyze and interact with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi networks.

GPIO & iButton: Connect to external hardware and read/write 1-Wire protocol (iButton).

What It’s Used For

Ethical Hacking: Testing security of physical access systems and wireless protocols.

Hardware Exploration: Experimenting with embedded systems and custom firmware.

Learning & Research: Understanding how various wireless technologies work.

Convenience: Replicating TV remotes or access cards (where permitted).
